It was only today morning that I decided to write a blog post on the upcoming movie - Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It was the first time I was able to catch up with the songs on the TV and they looked immensely promising. I was just listening to its songs the entire evening.
SRK was playing the eternal romantic hero, possibly caught between the two starlets - Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The name of the movie itself had mesmerized me. The movie was being directed by Yash Chopra, who was returning behind the camera for one last time - after Veer Zaara in 2004.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan - It symbolized what all of us want to do until we are here on this earth. And how long we are here, we know not. Our life can, at best, be summarized by one word - Fickle.
And it was this cruel twist of fate which made itself evident this Sunday evening. With the film being scheduled for a mega Diwali release, it's architect - Yash Chopra - passed away today evening. He leaves behind a mega legacy of having enthralled the audience for decades altogether. It is such a sad irony that his last movie was titled - Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Catch up with some shots from the movie itself - to see the work of Yash Chopra, for one last time.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan |
Jab Tak Hai Jaan - Katrina Kaif |
Jab Tak Hai Jaan - Anushka Sharma |
Catch SRK as the romantic hero, singing one of the best songs in the movie. And one with a bright Anushka.
And as with all Yash Chopra movies, Jab Tak Hai Jaan sells dreams, happiness and love. It brings Kashmir and Ladakh back to the theaters.
For all the promise that the movie shows, the movie looks to be a great hit. And a classy tiara of Yash Chopra's legacy.
